THE BIG PIG GIG-YEAR #2 ENTERTAINMENT!
Menomonee Falls, WI- An exciting lineup of entertainment, including The Kentucky Headhunters, The Georgia Satellites and GL Wesley's Rock n' Roll Legends show, has been announced to perform at "The Big Pig Gig", Menomonee Falls second annual officially sanctioned state championship Kansas City Barbecue Contest. The event will take place the weekend of Sept. 19-21, 2008 and will feature three national musical acts, four local stages, over 50 competing professional barbeque teams like Dr. Porkenstein, QU Cooking Crew, and Fat Boys BBQ, 11 food and beverage vendors (double last year), and fun for the whole family. Weekend attendance is estimated at 75,000.

The party will begin on Friday, September 19th when The Orphans open the main stage for 1990 Grammy Award winning Kentucky Headhunters of Dumas Walker fame. The Big Pig Stage sizzles with Blues guitarist and vocalist-Robert Allen Jr. Trio & 80's Rock Band-Rhythm Method. Old Mil rocks out on the M & I Family Fun Stage and the Variety Stage showcases-Ronnie Nyles and Karaoke.

3D are scheduled to perform on the main stage on Saturday, September 20th. One of classic rocks most entertaining bands, The Georgia Satellites, will headline that evening. The Georgia Satellites is perhaps best known for their #1 1980s single, Keep Your Hands to Yourself. Jim Hudson, The Steelheads, Tim Castle & Young Southern and Chasin Mason are scheduled to play The Big Pig Stage. Dirty Boogie, Robert Allen Jr and Karaoke on the Variety Stage and the Celebrity Rib Eating Contest, Glen Gerard's Magic Show, BBQ Awards presentation and The Crisis will be featured on the M & I Family Fun Stage.

Sunday the 21st will open up with "God's Big Gig" a contemporary musical youth oriented worship service and pancake breakfast on the main stage followed by G L Wesley's Legends Show featuring the song styling of Elvis, Roy Orbison, and others. Learn "The Big Pig Jig" line dance at noon on The Big Pig Stage followed by Front Page News and King Solomon. Accompany of Kids, Glen Gerard and Mission River perform on the M & I Family Fun Stage and rounding out the Variety Stage with Blind Willy and Maple Road.

The Big Pig Gig's $25,000 in prize money is creating excitement and national attention with members of the Kansas City Barbeque Society, the world's largest organization of barbecue and grilling enthusiasts. "We are excited about the number of teams that have already registered to compete from all over the United States", said Jenny Jennings, executive director of the Menomonee Falls Community Chamber. Brat lovers make note…a special Beer and Brat category has been added to the Wisconsin Championship barbeque event.

3D are scheduled to perform on the main stage on Saturday, September 20th. One of classic rocks most entertaining bands, The Georgia Satellites, will headline that evening. The Georgia Satellites is perhaps best known for their #1 1980s single, Keep Your Hands to Yourself. Jim Hudson, The Steelheads, Tim Castle & Young Southern and Chasin Mason are scheduled to play The Big Pig Stage. Dirty Boogie, Robert Allen Jr and Karaoke on the Variety Stage and the Celebrity Rib Eating Contest, Glen Gerard's Magic Show, BBQ Awards presentation and The Crisis will be featured on the M & I Family Fun Stage.

Sunday the 21st will open up with "God's Big Gig" a contemporary musical youth oriented worship service and pancake breakfast on the main stage followed by G L Wesley's Legends Show featuring the song styling of Elvis, Roy Orbison, and others. Learn "The Big Pig Jig" line dance at noon on The Big Pig Stage followed by Front Page News and King Solomon. Accompany of Kids, Glen Gerard and Mission River perform on the M & I Family Fun Stage and rounding out the Variety Stage with Blind Willy and Maple Road.

The Big Pig Gig's $25,000 in prize money is creating excitement and national attention with members of the Kansas City Barbeque Society, the world's largest organization of barbecue and grilling enthusiasts. "We are excited about the number of teams that have already registered to compete from all over the United States", said Jenny Jennings, executive director of the Menomonee Falls Community Chamber. Brat lovers make note…a special Beer and Brat category has been added to the Wisconsin Championship barbeque event.
